Bill…you say a lot of crazy #### on here, but that’s just not true. And I know you just pass along disinformation you hear on conservative/putin radio…but maybe run some of this stuff by your kids or grandkids before you post. It’s a service I provide for my own dad and I know he really appreciates me correcting him.

I always considerd myself right-leaning/conservative/libertarian, and I just want to say that Covid was real and it killed a whole bunch of people I knew, some of whom were very good friends. I don't know a single person who died from the vax. All of my doctors recommended that I get the vax, and I've had no ill effects so far. And let's not forget that Trump was a driving force behind fast-tracking the release of the vax and promoted it heavily once it was out. Were covid and the vax heavily, absurdly politicized? Of course. Politicians and podcasters and talking heads made sure of it, and people chose sides and became like soldiers following orders. It's very telling that after all of this time, people are still falling for the nonsense, which I believe in the long run, is a more serious and pervasive problem than covid, which was very real and very deadly, ever was.

There are issues with the vaccine.

And it doesn't prevent COVID.

In fact the Cleveland Clinic study, which is peer-reviewed, shows that more vaccine doses = higher incidence of COVID.

The VAERS numbers are downright scary.

I don't think people younger than early to mid 60s should get the vax. Bud that's just me.

No offense, but people shouldn't be taking medical advice from

people on internet message boards, politicians, or politically motivated podcasters and talking heads. That's what doctors are for, and if you don't trust your doctor, who knows you and your medical situation, you have the wrong doctor - get one you trust, and don't change doctors just because they recommend a vaccine that you have heard was bad from people who are not doctors.

As for the vaccine not preventing covid, we've known that pretty much from the start. The whole point was that it lessened the severity of covid, and in that way it saved a lot of lives. So, the fact that it doesn't prevent covid is not any kind of "gotcha", or reason not to get it.

And yes, there may be some long term effects from the vaccine that we are just now learning about. There was no perfect solution at the time, and while the vaccine may turn out to have some undesirable long term effects, at least it bought time for a lot of people that would undoubtedly already be dead from covid.

Whether or not one should get vaxxed is entirely a personal decision that each person should be allowed to make for themselves, and I respect that no matter what they decide. I just lost a lot of people during the first wave of covid, and it happened fast. A very good friend who was in perfect health, played golf and tennis, very fit, 64 yrs old about to retire, refused to get the vaccine because covid was "just like the flu". One day he was diagnosed with covid, and 10 days later he was dead.

We may never fully understand covid, but when it first hit it was real and serious. The medical community did the best they could. Too bad it got totally politicized.

I'm seeing more and more parents refusing all vaccines for their kids because of mistrust from covid vaccine. Seeing outbreaks of preventable diseases like chickenpox and measles. Ugh

Don't have the data on hand, but local hospitalization rates and ICU admissions for vaccinated vs non vaccinated was overwhelmingly heavy towards non vaccinated even taking into account local vaccination rates as a control group. Wasn't even debatable.

it's so funny how people will go and look for data to support their preconceived bias. Don't like the vaccine, then I'll overlook standard medicine (you know the same people who figure out what antibiotics work, what chemo to use, etc) and believe the opinions of fringe "experts".
