Almost happy. Certainly not feeling badly. Absolutely no sense of urgency to get better.
He's probably coming off the golf course right about now.

Why wouldn’t he be? Neff F’d up and let him know his future was secure before yet another embarrassing quad 4 loss at home to a team that had not beaten ANYONE with a pulse.

It’s harder to win that to lose. It takes more work. Humans respond to incentives. Neff publicly acknowledged on Monday that he does not incentivize winning. That it isn’t part of the formula. Those of us that have been perplexed by Brownell’s tenure can understand some important things. His behavior and performance is perfectly rational. Why work harder to win if it isn’t expected of you. Same for the players. If your coach doesn’t care, why should you. Obviously the culture prior to and continued by Neff is that as long as Brownell is fun to have around the office - he has a job. That forcing us as fans to make things as untenable for them to keep him. Within my tiny sliver of the Clemson Universe I intend to minimize any chance that he will be renewed no matter how they perform next year.

I have a hard time believing that Brad is “fun to have around the office”.
Maybe he’s fun to talk sh*t about, but he has less personality than a toaster.

There is some back of house reason. Neff worked closely with him as associate AD. He completely broke protocol to offer that endorsement Monday. That isn’t a business decision, it’s a personal one. He needs to be called to task for the poor decorum, whether the result is the same. And Brownell needs to go.

I agree with you 100%.
I’ve never been able to understand how he’s lasted this long. There’s obviously some personal reason within the ranks of the athletic department. I can’t logically think of any other reason.

CBB better crank up the portal machine to be prepared for more defections. The only signee for next year is about 6’ 7” and 175 pounds & I can’t imagine him not redshirting.

We know you're delighted with 2 NCAA appearances in 13 years, but most are not. You've come up with every excuse in the book, but the program will not get better under Brownell. Period. Does Morehead State and Furman have better facilities and financial support than Clemson?
We know a turd when we see it and smell it, and there's no other way to describe the losses we've had this year and in previous years.

Just because they say something is doesn’t make it so. I know they live on a college campus and it works on some people there.
Those of us that live in the real world know we weren’t an ncaa tournament team. And Morehead State reinforced that for everyone around the country.

Next year he’ll get another extension and a lot of leeway like he did when KJ left a year early.
He used that excuse for years and the athletic department ate it up.
PJ leaving early will serve his purpose, unfortunately.
If JK stops giving him BJs maybe he’ll finally leave.
