Some may disagree, but his energy and intensity are most likely infectious to his players. If for any reason Swinney left Clemson, I'd take tbe Lane Train in Tigertown. His teams have speed and his offensive schemes are fun to watch.

He was considered for the job when Tommy left. Same as Muschamp. But the job eventually went to Dabo.

I think it would have been a mistake to hire Lane then but he has definitely gotten better as a coach. I just question his character.

We are about 99.999999% sure it would've been a mistake considering only 5 active coaches have won a national championship (Dabo being one then). The chances that Kiffin would've come in at the time Dabo did and be able to win 2 national titles is slim to none

Agree. That's why I would want him only if Dabo left us. Currently he'd be my #1 choice. He would thrive with our passionate fan base..

And Lane is sketchy too. Remember when he sent the girls to Byrnes HS to recruit Marcus Lattimore and a couple of other players and sent them to other schools which is a violation? But the "hades" thing you mention is a little excessive; God can forgive all of us if we ask for it.
