Going to be thin an WR Saturday

Sounds like Beaux isn't gonna be able to go with his foot. Behind Randall, Brown, and Stellato were looking at Ronan Hannifan, Hamp Greene, and Noble Johnson. Hopefully these freshman can step up big time and help us get the job done. Did hear someone call this a "Hamp Greene legacy game". We'll see what happens Saturday. Go Tigers!

He's better than most RBs, but has dropped 2 homeruns that I can remember. Still, he's a weapon out of the backfield that should be exploited against the Coots LBs and help to keep them honest.

I guess we can probably expect a loaded box to try and stop the run and make us prove we can have success passing. Young guns will definitely have to step up.

Considering he had one pass attempt and no catch this past weekend, I'd say we're in the same spot we were this past weekend.

Correct. And if Brown, Bstool, or Stellato happen to get hurt the drop off is significant. Hope they can make it through the game and play a bunch of snaps because there are very few good options when it comes to a rotation.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good. Maybe that will force the coaches to stick with the run!***

Gamecock coaches are not idiots. They managed to beat Kentucky with 1 offensive weapon and some turnovers. Defensively they are #96 overall and a miserable #116 against the pass. As putrid as that is, they will load the box and force Clemson to beat them with a depleted group of receivers that has little opportunity to rotate fresh bodies. If we have any receiver go down with an injury the options become less and less appealing. Ship will likely need to step up at WR if the offense is going to click.

Play Shipley at WR and give Mafah the majority of the Carrie’s with Dominique Thomas as his backup.

Yes, their going to try it - did it against UNC. When they get Bstool and Sapp in at the same time it's likely the smallest tight end duo in the country. Sapp is listed at 6'1 and 235 - WR height and TE speed. Bstool is 232 lbs. Patt-Henry is at least a legitimate TE size at 6'3 and 240 but I have never seen him catch a pass. It would have worked out if Noble Johnson had panned out but apparently a total miss. We got who we got.

We needed to take 3 receivers this recruiting cycle. I think we will regret letting Brandon Staley go to Tennessee.
