I did not get to watch most of the early basketball wins but have watched all of the recent losses. Should I refrain from watching today to see if they win? And if they do win with me not tuning in - to never watch another televised hoops game forever?

I too am very superstitious in regards to sports.... I like to think my pre-game routine does have an effect on the outcome, but... it does not. Enjoy and watch the game. As much wisdom and coaching experience as we all have here on the Tigernet, we do not effect the outcome of the game unless it is cheering loudly for our Tigers in the stadium when the game or match is going on for all of our awesome student athletes in all sports.

I use to tell my wife that there was no evidence that the games were actually played if I didn't watch them. It was my duty to watch.

win, watch and they lose. Don't watch and they win, don't watch and they lose. I am starting to believe my watching has no effect at all on this stuff! Just like, unfortunately, all our griping about Brownell apparently has no influence whatsoever on his job status.
Oh well, it'll be softball and beisaball season soon, Hip Hip, HOORAY! I really would like to be positive and cheer about basketball, but when the result is preordained, it gets to be totally depressing to do so.

Just spitballing but if deciding to watch a game on tv is this big a deal, maybe the Hallmark Channel is a better option

Losses can be explained by what has been lacking with the team. Not by which eyeballs are on the game, what shirt you're wearing, or what you ate for breakfast or lunch.
