towards our team when Louisville was closing the gap to 4, or was that for something else? They sounded disgruntled on TV there for a bit but in person it could have been different.

Any LJ'ers care to elaborate?

TIA in advance and

Go Tigers!

The disgruntlement you heard was directed at the refs.....

Pretty sure I heard at least one "That's on the coach!" late in the game (watching on TV). Wasn't really paying attention to the crowd noise.

I was there. The crowd was sparse and many departed at half and and throughout the second half. The offensive "scheme" seemed non existent for much of the first half. PJ taking multiple long range 3 pointers that barely drew iron. Virtually no successful screen game to get Girard good open looks. Yes, there was lots of mumbling and grumbling at that point as the game was close most of the first half. I must add that Louisville was the worst looking conference team I have seen in roughly 20 years. Multiple players not even drawing iron from inside five feet and many missed layups. To their credit, they hammered Clemson on the boards - not even close. I really have no idea how they managed to win their lone conference game as they are awful. There were some upset fans in the last minute of the game when shockingly, Louisville brought out the full court press and Clemson could not inbound the ball (no screens, again). After a time out they did attempt to set a screen that was not very well executed but they did manage to inbound the ball to a different player. Sure it's not the case, but this pressing defense seemed to catch the Tigers off guard. In the end, it was too much PJ Hall down low that Louisville had no answer for. As another poster stated, the biggest fan reactions were on questionable calls. The fans upset with strategy and execution were mostly background noise.

the South Carolina game and ours, and to my unskilled eyes it looked like two completely different levels of play.

Of course, I always celebrate any Clemson victory, but I hope our fellows focus on their skills our few remaining games, taking their coaching to heart. To me Louisville should never have been a threat, especially closing the gap, as they did, because they just seemed pretty bad. Thank goodness, when our guys realized what was happening, their fire produced the win,

I hate to keep referencing discipline, regardless of sport, but our stumbling evidenced a breakdown in discipline to me...something the staff and team have to address.
