He can filter all he wants, if thousands of emails show up telling Graham its time to finally do something and give Brownell the boot, it has to carry some weight. I encourage all the grads to sign it with your "Class of" as well to drive the point home. As everyone has already pointed out all over TNet, horrible coaching is at the heart of our losses.

1. At what IPTAY level is this person?
2. Does this person sponsor Clemson Basketball exclusively? Or, are they a sponsor of Clemson Athletics in general?
2. How many season tickets does this person buy?
That is all he cares about. Graduation year and any other tie to Clemson Athletics will be of no value. In other words, he does not care about the general fan.

You are correct. That's why I send snail mail to the President and BOT. Even if they don't read the letters, their administrative assistants probably do. And then tell them what the letters say and how many they are getting.

I've no doubt donors and especially big donors could reach a critical mass at smaller numbers than lower level or non-donors, but at some point the sheer weight of public opinion, across every spectrum of donor, both big and small, and even non-donors, is going to be a barometer of sorts bout what is thought of the situation in all relevant cross-sections. If the masses want Brownell fired, and the inbox is overwhelming, it won't matter that every last sender isn't a huge donor.

You do it at the end of the season, not mid-year.
If the season ended today, we would be in the NCAA Tournament. That's a significant accomplishment for Clemson basketball.

Then we'll all (well, most of us) be relieved - just a very different type and better "relieved".
I've read all your arguments, and they're good. But so is Brownell. He's been good. The greatness we've seen is from the players. Not from the coach. I have nothing personal against Brownell but in the many years he's been at Clemson, we've really made zero progress in any measurable way.
Time to start expecting the same excellence from our basketball programs as we do our football, soccer, softball, baseball, lacrosse, etc programs.

3 tourneys in 3 years to 3 tourneys in 13 years is negative progress and is absolutely the fact of the matter. Trash mouthing Purnell and his players doesn’t change it.

If you have kept tract, we have been to the NCAAT only 3 times in the last 13 years and in danger of making it 14. NCAAT committees do not like to see 4 losses out of 5 in January and February. So objectively, we've made no progress towards what actually matters. Although I know you won't read this because you're a ######### and ignored me.

I wrote this on the board hoping it might get Neff to see some emails flooding in. I've never emailed him before, and feel very differently about football where we've actually accomplished goals. Shocked to say, he actually responded. TONS of respect to him for that! Know he'll evaluate at season's end and hope he makes right decision this season, but super impressed he actually took the time to write back.

I’ve exchanged some fairly elaborate emails with him. I find him professional, courteous, and extremely responsive. I almost wonder if the AD should have some much time on his hands. A couple emails were posted here after last season. He definitely worked from a template but personalized it and added details pertinent to the specific email.
