Dreaming up wild, never gonna happen, playoff scenarios.

Imagine this:

1. TN beats UGA
2. Bama beats TN in Atlanta.
3. OSU, UCLA, Clemson and TCU run the table.

Playoff: TN beats OSU and Bama beats UCLA in semis.

Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. TCU

National championship game will consist of two teams with one loss.
Orange bowl will pit two undefeated teams.

How long would it take for the announcement to be made that playoffs in 2024 will be 12 teams?

Note: I'm not saying it will happen. I maintain my adage - Win 'em all and you're in.

Just thinking of fun stuff. (Remember, I'm retired. I have plenty of time to think up stuff like this.)

I was thinking Wake runs the table. UNCheat runs table beats needs 4 OT's to beat us in ACC Championship.

Voila...3 ACC teams in the playoffs.

There will only 2 teams from 1 conference if we lose a game. We will not lose.

The downside to me is playoff expansion. Expansion of the playoff will be more about money than finding a true national champ.

Disclaimer: Imo, the four team playoff has revealed the best team every year. I do not believe the four best teams show up in the post playoff rankings.
