Does the new recruiting class have any potential

Dec 31, 2022, 12:14 AM

game changers on either side of the ball?

And I'm talking about immediate plug and play. Thinking Sammy Watkins or Justin Miller type of impact...

It seems that the Peter Woods kid from Alabama is getting a ton of hype, but at a position like Defensive line his impact could be minimal even if he has a Freshman All American kind of year.

We really need some game changers on both sides of the ball and quickly. Maybe they are already on the roster and just need another year of development.

Woodaz might be a problem for teams next year. He was the only player I saw tonight that constantly made plays in the backfield. Has played well all season. Give jake another off-season he will be fine at tightend. With ship and Phil we just need 1 receiver to emerge. Idk what the secondary is going to do. Mukuba has had a bad season after a great one. Have to move him back to safety. No more nickle for him.

I agree that Woodaz is a good one and maybe one of the best

pure football players on the team. But I noticed he got beat to the corner a few times tonight. He is still limited physically. He plays smart and is rarely out of place, but he lacks speed. To me this is becoming more of the norm at Clemson and has the potential to be a major problem moving forward when playing elite competition.

We desperately need a burner at WR that can catch as well as a Mike Williams, Nuk Hopkins type that you can throw 50-50 balls and they turn to 80-20 or more.

Could have had the 1st Team All-American speedster Jalin Hyatt but he was too "small" I guess and we never offered him even with his extreme interest in Clemson.
