It's just been purple, not necessarily all purple, for Military Appreciation Day. Our 2009 game vs UVA was similar - purple tops for the military, orange pants for the division title being on the line.

I would not support the change unless we went with the silver helmet with the orange paw or perhaps combat unis. Of course 98% of teams who focus on some silly uniform of the day combo actual lose the game but at least they good running onto the field.

Are you mistaking silver helmets for our chrome helmets? I pretty sure our chrome helmets will outshine ND's gold helmets. And I'm darn sure that our Tigers will outshine the domers on the field irregardless of what we're wearing.

WYFF is an NBC affiliate and will be airing the game. So that is probably why they are hyping it more than usual. I cannot say as I live in the Columbia market unfortunately.
