Recently about being drafted. Congrats to him.
I just wanna say, he's kind of a b*****. 90 percent or more of Clemson fans wanted him to succeed and he completely threw the staff under the bus and labeled us "too simplistic" bud, if the second half of the Carolina game was too simplistic for you, where all you had to do was make a couple standard passes, then I wish you well and goodbye.
Just odd to me how he blamed everything but himself. That didn't seem to be the guy he was while here, and why I pulled for him blindly. Seemed to be a team guy. Guess it was just an act. Still pulling for him, just surprised.

DJ was being heavily manipulated by Dave in one way or another. Maybe they thought too that by throwing Clemson under the bus it would divert the doubters that he could help the Beavers be semi-relevant. Almost like coachspeak.

One thing was for certain with Big Dave, he was Big. Outside of that, I’m not sure of anything. But, Big Dave is big.

In 2020 his dad was raising hell in the parking lot after a game. He wasn’t happy about DJ running the ball.
The dad accompanied little brother on every recruiting visit except Clemson. Clemson was the only visit mom came with little brother.
Tells me all I need to about dad.

I just choose to not interact. His takes are very odd. He tries too hard. Calling himself the replacement of JK was a weird one. He knows nothing compared to Jk about basketball.

Once he saw that DJ wasn't Trevor, he completely backed off. He was the most prominent Clemson promoter in 2020 when DJ had a string of good games in Trevor's covid absence. I'm not sure why that stopped, but your interaction is telling.

Big Dave was obvious on his Twitter feed that he was working to get other players signed. I don't say that with any ill will toward his family. However, DJ seemed to have some toward Clemson after his departure.

never thought they were Clemson naturals from the start but Dabo & staff thought otherwise.
It’s over after 2 looong years that cost us a lot of losses & heartaches!

DJ has all the tools to be great. Yeah he could work on a quicker release but he has all the physical tools. His issue were the mental tools. While I seen fire in him at times he definitely didn't have that eye of the tiger fire you seen in Trevor, Deshaun, Boyd and even Kelly. He let negative plays compound mentally. There has to be other things we're not read into with inside the program but it felt like the team tried to force themselves into believing DJ was the leader and I truly believe some of the guys did not trust him or view him as the leader. We may never know all the issues but like a poster said above it's time to move on. DJ is gone and I hope his dreams are realized. I wish he was our Bryce Young but he wasn't and so here's to the Cade era of Clemson football. P.S. I think there is no doubt that Cade has taken the leader role of this team and that this team will truly be a QB led team.

As much as I was ready for Dabo to play TL16 over Kelly Bryant, I haven't thought much about him after the switch was made.
It's wild to think that if DJU and KB2 were on the same roster, I'd have been crying "Put in KB!"
