Noticed the backup QB is in and just threw a TD for Oregon State.

The announcers said that they planned before the game to take him out for this drive.

a true starter doesn't have a backup close enough to do that

DW4 was getting put in for a series with Cole Stoudt. TL with KB.

You NEVER saw KB come in for DW unless there was an injury or it was mop up duty. Same with Chase Brice when TL was the starter.

If the coach is penciling in the 2nd stringer to play a series that early in the game, then the coach doesn't have full confidence in the starter.
