Or when it happens to them is it definitely the organization sweeping a lack of institutional control under the rug?

I can promise you from personal experience in numerous cases that Clemson sports, football especially, vets its recruits like no one else. Of course, these are young men, so occasionally someone will do something out of character, but Clemson recruiters keep close tabs on recruits including grades, discipline records, work ethic, and many other things. Even after a commitment. My experience goes back 40 years on this subject.
I have seen other schools, such as a notable one in the state capitol and another in a neighboring state, that will sign players Clemson won’t touch. These other schools could not care less about character as long as the person has skills.
What I’m getting at is Clemson doesn’t have to step in to interfere with the justice system because they do their homework up front. And when someone steps out of line, they are usually dealt with anppr even if they have great skills. Just ask Derion Kendrick what he thinks.

You implied that Clemson officials stepped in to get charges dismissed against Capehart and that we commenters deny that happened. You further implied that when charges are dismissed at other schools, we cry foul and accuse those officials of interfering, basically calling us hypocrites.
I’m calling out your BS because I say that you’re comparing apples to oranges. Clemson recruits players with character, and if someone does something wrong, they are dealt with. At Georgia and your school, they don’t care about character, which means they have problems galore, and they DO try to sweep them under the rug because they want to keep their players regardless of their issues.
