Who should he make less than? Jimbo, Mel Tucker, Lane Train....? He caught grief for saying it, but it does not make it less true "I don't set the market for what College Coaches get paid". This is exactly why Clemson has to get out the ACC. This ACC TV revenue makes his salary a greater percentage of what the programs bring in than revenue than Big and SEC. Those conferences are skewing the Coaches Salaries. Pat Fitzgerald made over 5 M last year at Northwestern and Mel Tucker made 9.5M.
Should a College Coach make that much money? Probably not. Should the three Coaches who have more the one National Title in the last ten years make the most. Probably so. Don't blame Dabo ( or Saban or Kirby) blame these other schools for over paying and driving the market up.

And no where in it did it say we have to win every game. We may never have another undefeated season and Dabo will still be in the Hall of Fame.

Hear how bad his team’s performance was in that game and that he, and he alone is solely responsible for making Clemson football look stupid on national television

I think they should get paid by the win.
Base salary of $1 million. Perfect season including winning Natty, $25 million. Sliding scale in between.

Did you enjoy the national titles? Do you know how many active coaches have won multiple of them? Dabo deserves every single cent he is getting. The Tigers were on top of college football for an extended period of time. Count your blessings.
