Conference Realignment

Over the summer, it was a hot topic. Obviously, once football season started you don’t hear much about it week to week.
I wonder if it’ll pick back up after the CFP is over. I don’t know why but I just have a feeling we won’t stay in the ACC if the opportunity to leave ever presents itself. Personally I hope we jump to the SEC eventually. Mainly for the money but also for the competition.

I hate the SEC. I hate the B1G, and I barely tolerate the ACC. I am Clemson first and foremost. Play ball! ??

A top heavy ACC football division would be a fine landing spot. It would be far more valuable per participant than what we can ever hope to achieve with the whole lot we have today. Create a 2nd division for Ga Tech and below, and maybe add a few G5's that have good hoops programs to spice up the other sports we'd keep scheduled together.

First two and then eventually one. Anyone who thinks CLEM won't be included is fooling themselves. Anyone who doesn't think the ACC GOR cant be mitigated in the future is also fooling themselves.
And a bonus for this trend I've been seeing from a certain few on here lately: Anyone who thinks CLEM won't catch up in the NIL game (b/c we are indeed behind) is also fooling themselves. CLEM wont play the game like MIA or TAM....but they wont have to.

On the NIL front, Dabo was promoting our media department and programs designed to help players manage that process before the first NIL dollar flew out. And if you've seen our graphics you know we're talking top shelf efforts here. He seems to be doing okay on the recruiting front - about par for his numbers over the years. With the crazy NIL stuff about as this thing's kicking off I like the foundation Dabo put in place early to ride the early wave. So far so good.

this is my expectation also. I have no idea what it is going to look like but Dabis culture and the family atmosphere that has been cultivated for decades will be central.

Or summer. Also no doubt Florida St and Clemson are talking in the back channels with other conferences. The Florida St AD openly admitted it.
It’s coming. Clemson joining another conference the question is when… will the big 10 make a move this summer and add more schools from out West or will they sit tight for a few years and let things settle. If they do add teams from out west which it sounds like they’re going to do that will force the SEC to add teams as well.
I’m hoping Clemson is in the SEC by 2026. ??
