Coach Brownell= tnets personal scapegoat

During our successul last 2 weeks, very little if any credit given.

But after a loss, the naysayers come out of the woodworks as if they are just hoping and praying we’ll lose so they can have something to moan about.

He is the leader of the team. Youre right he should get credit when

Credit is due and he should get blame when blame is due. The ceo of a business is held responsible good or bad. He is the ceo of Clemson basketball. I give him props for Duke even though it was a loss and UNC at home. Unfortunately I give him criticism for tonight. Yes it takes players but again he’s the ceo and we have 14 years of data to measure him by not one game.

he's not paid $3 million to have 2 successful weeks. He, at least in theory, is paid to work towards winning championships. This was a chance to hold onto the bye position in the ACC tournament on a Saturday where the top 3 teams have made some real separation. Any hope of an ACC season championship is effectively over - this is his best team in 14 years and it left the non-conference slate positioned to do it. Yet now we are tied for 7th in his 14th season and his cheerleaders are already declaring that we're "in the tourney, no matter what" (as if that's good enough) so they can excuse it away if he actually manages to fumble the ball a second season in a row.

Because winning at Clemson in basketball has always been a cake walk. Right now Lunardi has is as a 5 seed even after this game. We don’t have what other teams have in basketball that’s going to bring in the best players. It’s time for people to accept that and be happy with what we have right now

When the longest tenured coach in program can’t generate the consistency of 2 of the previous 3 coaches despite massive investments improvements in the programs the throwbacks to our history are innacurate and irrelevant.

No I will not accept a tourney bid every 4-5 years

What about 2 NCAA tournament wins in 14 years?

And to the Brad cult the play in win isn’t a tournament win.

Are those negated by two #1 seed first round NIT losses at home?

But it's silly to look at the totality of a career.

I think this is fair criteria as to what we don't want. What would be acceptable? Every year, Every other year, Every three years? Let's define what "good" means. We are very good at defining "bad." I personally would love to go to the tourney every year.

Has anyone ever sat and watched his press conferences? When you hear the man speak you can understand why he’s still at Clemson. But as far as is coaching it is skeptical at times. Tonight he should have called a timeout and set a play up for the last shot with around 6 sec left cuz from what I saw they don’t practice the scenario that happened because two player were open down low when my guy drove to the basket

You know that. Why are you defending him for underperforming?
