I’m no genius but Monte Lee should have taken the pitcher out already. Askew is pitching terrible.

He should but won't .. he won't change because he doesn't know what to do at this point.. He will also continue to sub out Teo in the later innings when he is down regardless of how good or bad Teo is doing.. clear sign a coach is just guessing. He knows he is going to have Clemson's first losing season in ages and he is coaching scared playing the numbers.. There have to be changes made to the baseball program staff.. our baseball program is broken.

Our offense has not been good but it’s not much help when pitching gives up 8 runs in 2 innings.

Askew has not been solid. He’s had two good starts out of his last seven. Since his first two appearances where he pitched really well, his ERA has climbed and climbed and will now be over 5.

A common theme from Clemson starters is they only have two pitches. To be a good starter in the ACC you have to have three pitches. Askew only has his fastball and slider. For a lefty who doesn’t throw that hard, you have to have a changeup.

good pitches. But, unlike our guys, they could locate those two for strikes wherever they wanted. Control is our issue, not the type of pitches. And, we seem to not have improved in that, or any other area significantly since the start of the season with a young team. Used to be, that was the coaches job. Since they aren't being held accountable now, more bad days ahead, I'm afraid.
