...and it's not the receivers, the kicking game, or the QB.
It's these weaka$$ home stadium crowds!
What happened to noise on defense? What happened to letting the refs have it on a bad call? What happened to standing on your feet and cheering through 4 quarters? We had a pick-6 on the first defensive drive of a night game, and when FAU got back on offense, it was like the crowd just decided they could relax. What in the world have we become?!?!?
It's like the dang Masters right now in Death Valley!
I hope we get that fixed by Saturday!

Seems to me that all of this ended around the time Clemson added all those extra cell phone towers. This is probably not just a Clemson issue.

I looked around at the SCU game in November. During defense 1 out of 10 people were yelling or making noise.
We’re a soft crowd.

Crowd was loud a majority of the game, didn’t quiet down til towards the end after it was apparent the offense couldn’t move the ball, so that was like the last 4 minutes

I predicted 2 mos. ago that we would loose to Duke and then win 14 in a row by double digits. If I knew how to find it I would repost it. I still believe it! Biggest story of this season’s CFB.

Which, of course, we would all much prefer over the alternative. But it has definitely caused the stadium energy to decrease. Fans just expect wins at this point no matter what is going on in the game.

FCS and G5 teams difficult to inspire crowd noise - other tha. Occasionally.
Not a new phenomenon.
Also - Everyone on phones posting how awesome and loud the game is even though it’s not.

We've become spoiled by success. Sharing these cheering rules from 1977, when we went 8-3-1 and began to emerge from mediocrity. Death Valley was LOUD that year.
