a great Clemson D to watch & cheer 4 since the adrenaline that erupts in my body & Soul when they make a dramatic game saving stop finds that part of the game to the liking of my animal & caveman instincts!
What in the hail did I just say?
Which side of the line of scrimmage do you prefer?

I would prefer a great defense and a good offense then great offense and good defense. It's true what they say defense wins championships even in today's CFB look at ou when they played us in playoff they weren't used to playing defense like ours and by second half they were getting manhamdled and someone was getting hurt every drive. Don't get me wrong having good players in the trenchs on offense is huge and might be more important than the dline but as a whole I'd rather have a really good defense, they can usually cover up the problems you have on offense.

I can still remember the sick feeling with the "Steele curtain" and a lead in the 4th quarter, expecting that we were going to bend, and bend, and bend until we lost. Obviously, I'm still not over that final drive of GT in the 2009 ACC Champ game. (spit).
the nasty D that we have now is just awesome and crushes all the oxygen out of our opponents, as it should be. BV plays with their minds and they don't know what to do. if at the end of the game it comes down to our defense making a stop, they do.

Defense is always the purist answer but give me O all day.
Both of the following were exciting but the game that gave us the ACC and our shot at the 81 Natty was a 10-8 win over UNC. Would you rather watch a game like that or this last Natty. Give me a last-second TD over a last-second stop any day.

I take a 2-0 win tbh. Yes i thinknthe offensive is as important as a good defense. You still got to have the big hogs upfront on the offensive line as well to if you want to have national success. I just think a great defense can cover up some flaws on your offense.

As good as Tony and Jeff are, CBV is just freaking awesome. His defenses absolutely terrorize teams. Men against boys IMO. For me, I love great defenses, but our offenses in recent years has been amazing to watch.
And this year, with the absence of DW4 and several other big O producers, our D had better be incredible to allow us to win most of our games. I can't wait. It's going to be fun to watch this team.
