I keep reading here from the TNet Bball Experts that we stink and Brownell is horrible.

and we'll be stuck with him another few years. This team has bounced back and is playing well again, something most of Brad's teams have not done. They will still have a couple of games this year that will have a few people looking around trying to figure out how we lost when most of us know it's the Brownell way.
I'm happy for our players but I pray that Brad doesn't get an extension or a raise. Let's see if he can repeat this next year.

Where am I wrong? You guys think he's great because he's finally starting to earn some of the millions that he's been given. Brad's teams almost always under perform. I still think they will this year based on the 13 previous seasons. Because of that I hope he doesn't get another extension.
And I've missed maybe 20 games total since 1990.

In fact, we typically outperform what is predicted.
The problem seems to be your own expectations, which exceed your appreciation.

Brownell is not a bad coach. But like Paul Johnson of GT Football, his offensive style is not gonna get those play makers who will win the ACC tournament, go deep in March Madness, and win those big games consistently. He's proven that. How many one and done's have we seen? I'm hoping it will be better this year. The last two games have helped. But lets see how it ends. If it's much different than his previous tenure I'll tip my hat to ya.

I believe we've shown that we can score points this year, and I'm optimistic that we can go on a deep tournament run.

successful, at least not as successful as we'd hoped he would be, as we have been stuck mid-pack for pretty much his entire 13-14 years here. That's not horrible, but we should try to be better.
Also, PJ is a great player, one of the best we've ever had. That is a separate issue entirely from how good of a coach Brownell is.

Clean up the turnover problem, Saturday was a turnover fest but the team was able to overcome which is always a good thing.
