from the my wife's mother's estate..and while I was there I met a guy that pitched for Clemson back in the 70's,John Mitchell. He played with Denny Walling. Walling had a very long career in the Majors. Anyway, Mr. Mitchell said that Wallings first offer as a signing bonus was....$5,000. Did I NOT SEE recently that SOME high school football players were demanding $5,000 just to visit?

$15.99 for a burger at McD’s????! I very rarely eat fast food and can’t tell you the last time I ate at McD’s but that sounds really high….

I remember when I lived in S Florida in the early 1990s and Dan Marino got a 3 year contract for $3 million. I was mad as h3ll because I couldn’t afford to take my family to a ball game and this guy was making a million dollars a year. I think that’s when I first realized this was getting out of hand.

It's a crazy mixed up world we live in. Everything seems to be about money. So sad for these generations growing up and trying become adults.
