It’s true. I misspell things on purpose regularly here (when in Rome), ironically. But on occasion I’ll misspell something on accident. Embarrassing.

I learned to read by memorizing words without spelling them or phonetics. My great grandmother taught me beginning when I was 4 yrs/o.
She was born in the mid to early 1880s and didn't have the programs we used even back in the 1950 when she was helping me. I'm still memorizing spelling of some words at 71 y/o. I'm satisfied if not for Freewrite, Freeword or whatever the software my freshman history professor handed out in 1985 I would have taken more than 3 yrs to graduate.
I'm doing the best I can so you can stuff your highly educated butt with whatever makes you happy.

Intentionally misspelled words are fun. Everyone enjoys a clever communicator.
It's the unintentional misspellings, and 3rd grade grammar that makes me sad. 😢
