A co-worker here in Atlanta is very close to Jamie Skalski's

family. She just gave me some sad news regarding a family member of Jamie's. Jamie was not at the game Saturday, obviously. Please pray for him and his family as they go though a very sad time.
This co-worker is a Georgia fan and, since Jamie committed to Clemson, has had nothing but glowing things to say about Jamie's Clemson experience and the Clemson coaching staff. He is very close friends with her son, who attends Auburn. As you may or may not be aware, Jamie has had a great freshman year, excelling on special teams and getting some good snaps and playing time.
Please keep his family in your prayers.

Dabo mentioned this in his post game press conference Saturday. Very sad news about Jamie's dad continued prayers for his family.

told me in a work meeting just now, it was the first I had heard. I was stunned because she is very close with the family. Nice to know it was mentioned in the press conference.
She said that Friday a coach drove Jamie home in his car, while another coach followed in his own car. They said they would have used the plane, but by the time it would be ready to fly, it was quicker to drive. She said the coaching staff has been wonderful.

Dabo actually talked about it Saturday post-game. Incredibly sad news.
For anyone who didn't hear, Jamie's Dad passed away. I figure it's not private, since Coach already made it public.
Many prayers for Jamie and family.

his show. Talked about Jamie's father passing. That he was cutting grass and passed in the yard. Just sad and you know that the guys had an extra heavy heart playing Saturday. Tough, tough thing to go through at any age but I imagine for a young man playing college football that the bond between the kid and father has to be at an all time high, especially if he was anything like my father and a sports nut. Prayers are with you and your family Jamie. May God put his hand upon you and your family through your time of need and help with the healing process. God is great and I couldn't think of a better way of watching Tigers football than in heaven with the Big Man Himself.....

I did start a right after the OP posted the message then my wife got home with my daughter and well, I am about 10 messages behind already. lol Prayers with the Skalski family....
