10 things:

Dec 6, 2015, 11:19 PM

1. I think the Heisman race is a lot closer than experts think (mostly what ESPN thinks). My guess is DW4, McCaffrey, Henry and Mayfield are locks for invites with possibly one more guy getting one (Dalvin Cook, Reynolds from Navy, Zeke Elliot or Fournette). Cook definitely deserves a look. McCaffrey is the man. He's having a Spiller '09 year and we all know he deserved the trophy that year.

2. Wayne Gallman is the most underrated RB in the country, by far. Our backfield tandem is special. Hopefully Wayne comes back next year to keep it going with Deshaun. But the 2017 draft class for RB's is pretty strong. He might just make the jump to the NFL.

3. I think Leggett is gone after this season. Dude has been a beast for us. He just looks like an NFL TE right now to me.

4. Saw a lot of criticism on Facebook about Dabo yelling at Teasdall, Dabo's on-field interviews taking forever and the fact he was wearing that 100 jersey during his press conference. A lot of the opinions were that he is all about himself and the camera being on him at all times. Man are they wrong.

5. I feel really good about Dexter Lawrence committing next week. Rahshaun Smith has me nervous but I still think he's a silent to us. Need to hit on both of these guys. They will be big time.

6. This is not the same Oklahoma team as last year and it should be a close game. If Clemson plays sloppy, you best believe Oklahoma will take advantage/keep the pedal down. They will have plenty of motivation for us. Likewise, the disrespect continues for us. I think we will play extremely well, don't know if that turns into a W or not. I hope we have a great turnout in Miami as well!

7. There's gotta be a way to hire a full time Special Teams coach at the end of the season. Fortunately, the mistakes haven't costed us one yet...but the margin for error is shrinking by every game. It'd be a d@mn shame if we lost a game solely on a special team blunder (onside kicks, kick off returns, blocked punts, etc). BTW, Teasdall's punt was gonna get blocked if he tried to do rugby style (which was the call from the coaches) and I commend him for being smart enough to turn to the weak side, but he's gotta kick it away. 20-30 yards is better than 2.

8. These next few weeks are gonna be miserable to watch ESPN. If you take their opinions to heart, you won't like what they have to say about our matchup. We might as well not show up again. And this time, we'll get to hear it for a month without getting a chance to prove them wrong.

9. Our offensive line has been outstanding. I saw something from David Hale, I believe, that said that they haven't given up a sack in like 4 games and basically commended our crazy rushing totals. Those guys have been awesome, especially since we have a new starting 5 from last year. They truly are a strength of this team.

10. I love the holidays and hope all of the Clemson Family has safe travels and a Merry Christmas. It's great to be part of this university.

..about Gallman: did you catch Fowler's comment...

Dec 6, 2015, 11:22 PM

...about him during the UNC game? He said Gallman was "raw, as a running back"....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He sure doesn't look conventional running the rock.

But man, I wouldn't want to get in his way. He runs like a stallion, and he's going to run right through you if you get in his way. I don't know if he will translate to the NFL well, but he's excelling in our system.

points 2 and 3 are interesting, although I don't see it with Leggett, but you never know. We all love Gallman, but your point makes sense when you think about Fournette, Cook, Chubb, etc. in 2017. The cubbard is full though with Choice/Fuller/Feaster, and with MW returning next year the passing weapons will be ridiculous (MW, Artavis, Cain, Ray Ray, etc.)

Point 7 - it was going to get blocked?

They brought the house on the right edge.

Most likely they would've had 2-3 come through clean to get to him. Those rugby style kicks take too long to develop anyway. Also, we were gonna run it on the snap before, but we had a false start. They knew it was coming.

#11. 3+ weeks of rest and preparation are going to do wonders. I saw we come out hitting on all cylinders against OU.
