This stat should speak volumes about the coaching blunders that continue to happen with the game on the line. Last time I remember Clemson actually hitting a buzzer beater was TO against Maryland back in the OP era. Players never seem like they are in a good position to win the game and when they are, they miss it!

I’d be afraid to look it up for real but I suspect under this coach we win about 25% of one possession games. Sure seems that way. It’s just coaching. He’s not a good one. Winning the games you’re supposed to has never been his thing. And unable to win at home is especially frustrating. Oh well. Only a couple weeks away from a first round loss in 2 tournaments.

on his show, listed all the ACC teams records over the previous 4 or 5 years in games decided by five points or less. Clemson under Brownell had by far the worst record, something like 6-28.
