I know this has been a topic for a while

I just don't see why we can't have at least one side of the court to be students that are actually into the game and creating an atmosphere. Now, I understand the notion of getting money from the boosters and IPTAY members, but there has got to be some way we boost the mojo of the John and put some fans in a position that would replace (as tigeroarz1 noticed earlier) all the sweater vests that don't get excited about anything. I'm trying not to go into a tangent, but it just drives me nuts to see everyone behind the benches sitting down with their arms crossed the whole game. ok i'm done.

You can keep some students behind the baskets, but at least get something, ANYTHING going on the sidelines. You can't tell me it looks depressing on the sidelines when the most action you see behind the benches is the visitors section. We're only hurting ourselves (especially if recruits are watching the lack of excitement on behind the benches) if we keep the students confined to only behind the baskets. I believed it when I was a student going to the games, and I believe the same thing now.

ESPN thought we were one of the toughest venues to play in with the way it is. You don't want to spread the students out. I will never agree with you. We can agree to disagree.

I didn't realize you posed a question. I know we're not going to agree on this. But we can agree that we want this Tiger basketball team to be better, not only as a team but as a program. Now, given it's "lackluster" over the past few years, i can't see where a change could hurt us. I like our coach, and I think we have some young players here now to maybe do some damage down the road. However, there is no way that allowing the students to pose a more threatening environment, not only behind the baskets but around the entire court could do us any harm. But I know we can agree on one thing, and that is that we want this Clemson basketball program to improve. We just may have different views about how. Go tigers!

Maybe we should do like ncst(I think) who has the students surround the court in the lower levels

7 schools out of the top 10 give students court side seating. So maybe they are all wrong.
