I always hated that guy because he is the one Dabo blew up at when he asked the famous "Clemsoning" question, but he gets points for speaking the truth there.

Nah, no way I believe that. ESPN had to designate SOMEONE to shed the fake

And Hale has editors and bosses who check and verify before it is printed.

Although, if he keeps it up, whenever it's time for cut backs, he may want to lay low lol

Just read it. Yep. He's on target in so many ways. For the past few years I thought the committee was doing a better job than anything that was done previously. But now I see that these 12-13 guys, sequestered in a room in Dallas, are just as subjective as anyone else. They are prone to making bad judgments as any coach or AP person. But these guys are more culpable because they (supposedly) spent hundreds and hundreds of hours watching college football games, while the others don't. They simply exposed just how flawed this is. I don't think there is a really good way of doing this, given all of the bias and corruption that exists.

The BCS algorithm was a better, more data driven solution. Math is better than politics. Who cares if it incentivizes running the score up?

Maybe but crap in crap out. There was still input from the polls so there was always the "eye test" and preseason bias.

My thing with all of this is that if FSU was not a top 4 team. Then why in almighty did you have them ranked 4th while Travis was out? They should have been dropped and that being the reasoning. You can not sit here and tell us they were the #4 team in the country but not really. Makes zero sense.

The only difference between now and 30 yrs ago is that the AP picks 4 teams for a playoff instead of crowning a champion. The difference between the latest AP poll and CFP is 15th and 16th place. ######## pencil heads.

nah i'm not giving david hale or booger any credit just because they wrote and article or gave a televised impassioned speech........this is called controlled opposition.......or the hegelian dialectic. ESPN employs almost all SEC or Big10 commentators for there shows, they play there little parts just like politicians, but it is all a ###### just like the uniparty larps as democrat/republican.
they simply give pretend faux outrage to a few employees to make it seem like they are shocked and mad.
