It should have been done this month…
It can still be done. I’m doubtful it will be though. There’s a chance though and even if its 1 percent I’ll cling to it.

At this point I wonder if it even matters. It should have already been done in a serious program. I wonder if Dabo is playing the long game and waiting for the insanity to be lawfully stopped. He absolutely refuses to even try to improve his OL, WR, and QB talent. I think if the rules regarding the portal go back to sit out a year before play, Dabo will be successful again. But he ain’t having none of the free agency and who can blame him.

Refuses to improve his OL talent?

I've got my popcorn, Stubborn. Please explain. We fired the coordinator, hired the best in the business and made offers to the top talent in the portal.
Pray tell, what won't he do again to upgrade our talent? Maybe you should stick to posting dic pics in the lunge like you did with your other Scok's stubborn_tiger

Don’t you know Dabo doesn’t want players who are better? Someone would have to be stupid to think otherwise.

I'm hoping the incoming receivers will solve the problem.

No matter how elite they are. They still need to get better and be coached up… Does anyone think that’s gonna happen with Grisham as their coach?

Remember a few years ago the Pittsburgh Steelers wanted to hire Grisham as their WR coach. Must be something there

I would not be surprised. I wouldn't be shocked to see him and/or Jeff Scott working with 110. The question is who is available to fill in? I know a lot of people clamor for Jeff Scott. I'm not opposed but all the public info indicates he isn't interested in recruiting or game travel right now. We also know Dabo has no problem pulling a top flight coach on a current staff, be it NFL or CFB. Chansi Stuckey is also out there.
My question is, outside of Stuckey, who is out there?

A healthy Williams, Randall, Brown and Stellato would have made a difference

Not only did injury impact game time, it limited practice time where timing/ chemistry with CK2 could be developed. A QB has to have a certain confidence / trust with WRs to run precise routes in order to allow quicker throws before the receiver comes out of the break. A number of our sacks were because CK2 held the ball too long.

All I know is since Jeff Scott left, it's been a steady decline in WR production---particularly in explosive plays.
That's a fact.

What about recruiting? A number or 4 and 5 star busts, no?

No one is disputing that fact but there are multiple factors other than the coach in play with many of those factors outside of the coach’s control. We had several highly regarded recruits who did not live up to their billing. We had a dip in recruiting due to COVID and NIL. We had a Swiss cheese OL which hurt the passing game plus two 5* QBs who have struggled. Dabo has proven he will make a change when needed but opted to keep CTG which should tell you something

Doubt there will be any changes but I also would not be surprised if there were. Tell you what though, I would love to get the bucknuts receivers coach. There's no doubt he can recruit and develop receivers.

Very. I think he is going to a great job with a healthy team, better OL, and new weapons.

I still think that he's getting the boot in a few weeks. The only reason why we kept him for so long was to keep Wesco/Moore.

I think Jeff Scott is a better WR coach and would want him coaching our WR corp.
But, do I think that will happen? Not sure; maybe. If there are concerns certain players would leave if Grisham leaves; then he stays.
I think Dabo thinks about it long and hard and makes that decision after the last signing period for H.S. players if there is to be a change.
I agree with whoever said; "no matter how talented a player is coming in - the expectation is for them to improve while on campus"! This has to happen for us.
Better OL play will - because it all starts there. If the QB can feel comfortable it's a miracle how good your passing game can look. The QB isn't panicking running for their life and throwing desperation heaves. Or throwing too soon because they had to get rid of it.
The WR's dropping passes is just discipline. We have to be able to do a better job with that. Will a change in accountability at the WR coach help with that? Maybe.
IDK in short.
