Everyone who knows even one thing about basketball knows that you have to make shots to win. We shot the ball from the floor as well as Bama did but they made 16, that's right, 16 shots from 3 and we missed half, that's right, half of our foul shots. We were outrebounded, had more turnovers and Bama outscored us by 24 points on 3's but we still could have one. Our effort was exceptional and the game was just a war inside, but we came up short.
This group took us as far as any in the history of the school and we should be eternally proud of that. There should be no talk of Brownell did this or that because he was our coach this season and will be our coach in the coming years. Coach and his staff need to be spending hours and hours looking at the the Portal and find some players to come in. Thanks for a great year.

We still have not learned to quit shooting 3's when we are not hitting them. Otherwise, great season.

I don’t have a problem with three-point shooting. There’s obviously a good miss and a bad take. We have far too many bad takes. First pass in a set isn’t the time. We need to run the offense and make several passes to get the highest percentage 3-point shot possible. It is a rhythm thing. Standing at the top of the key and shooting a contested three before any rebounders are in place is PJ Hall in a nutshell most of the time. That’s on the coach. He controls the red-light.

Alabama wasn’t hitting 3’s early on but they warmed up. Boy did they warm up. Should they have stopped shooting them? If they had they would have lost.

Omg. Seriously?! Grammar police?! That was your takeaway?! Do you correct the journalist who make grammatical errors in articles?! I see them too.
I had enough of English teachers by the 8th grade. I took all my English requirements before my senior year just to get out of that ####. I also took all my requirements in college by third semester. Well, I did take a communications course in public speaking.
Grammar and wrong board police are an instant TD for me. Many of these posts are happening during an incredibly emotional moment. Let’s face it, autocorrect is usually the culprit. Sometimes it’s fat thumbs on tiny screens and the alcohol effect. You’re effectively and officially Karen. Congratulations.
To the OP, I agree 100% with you. It was a Herculean effort against a red-hot team. I’m not ashamed but very proud. This is what I expect and believe this program can be every year. I want teams to see us on the schedule and cringe. It gets old being the punchline of basketball jokes.
