Bring back the White Endzones!!!

Regardless of conference affiliation, I think the White endzones need to make a comeback. I heard the reason they were dropped because of the cost of upkeep. If we do make it to the Big XII, then we should have sufficient funds to make that sacrifice. Either White, or the Orange one like in the ACCCG!!

it kills the grass. If you saw the field late last season, anywhere there was paint for most of the year (like under ACC logos,) the grass was pretty much gone.

You think they could find a long term paint that would not damage the grass like that. Like a fertilizer dye that you can make in several different colors. Whoever makes it first can have it patented and make BANK!!!

Why doesn't the Horticulture Dept develop a "Clemson Turf Grass"? It could rival "Kentucky 31 Bluegrass"

It's already been done.

They don't use typically latex based house paints anymore that would significantly harm the grass over extended periods. It's a cost issue.
If they can paint artificial turf for a bowl game on Saturday, and then clean & repaint the turf for an NFL game a week later, then they have pretty much mastered the paint issue.

facility landscaping like other schools. Auburn, Georgia, even South Carolina. Clemson not one thing along those lines, the outside barely has anything.

How about colored grasses instead of painting?

Just kidding. Without considering the feasibility, it's not practical for athletic turf down south. Football fields down south use spreading turf so you can imagine what would happen.

The outside edges of our field are already astroturf, only the playing surface is grass.
Why not make the endzones turf too?

That was sarcasm but it would be pretty cool if it could be done.

Maybe we should just paint them black and garnet. I am pretty sure they own our endzones until we demolish them this year. Maybe use that as motivation, our kids get their white and orange endzones back when they earn it. I mean seriously what good is anything garnet and black other than great toilet paper.
