I would agree. I did find it odd that Charles Tapper took it upon himself to call Mitch Hyatt small though, or was it "light"? It's not often you see a guy 6'2" talking about size to a kid that's already 6'6" 300+ pounds coming out of high school.

...and a kid that is a Freshman All-American at one of the toughest positions on the football field.

The very fact that he chuckled and highlighted Mitch Hyatt as a "true freshman" and calling him "light" without including the words "All-American" before the reporter pointed it out was insulting, and purposely-so. He's a d-bag.

They have big linemen. They play a 3-4 though.

I wouldn't exactly call averaging 280lbs "big" for a defensive line, especially in a 3-4 set.

Our offensive line averages 300+ and we use a tight end.

How are they running a 3-4 with DEs that small?

Dec 29, 2015, 10:36 AM [ in reply to Re: Will this be the smallest D line we have faced this year? ]

Sure, I bet it works vs the pass happy spread of the Big 12.... but our Oline and TEs will eat that up in our power run game

Well...Clemson's leading rusher is in the top 25 in rushing yards. Oklahoma's is not.

Well, we did rush for more yards than Oklahoma this year.... And passed for more yards too. That was with the second string playing large parts of several games.

You played pop warner defenses all season. If you played our schedule this year, you'd be at home popping Zoloft and binge-eating ice cream right now. You OU boys are in for a rude awakening Thursday, bet.

That's what I was trying to say, they are small for a 3-4 set. Especially considering their OLB's are closer to 220.

Bob Stoops will be the 2nd smallest D we've faced this year

Is this the reason why Muschamp kept him on his staff?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Elliot sits of Chump's staff bc Chump feels more

like a man seeing Elliot's little d dangling there. HTH.
