Why I bet big on Clemson (and I never bet)....

I'm hedging the cost of a trip to Arizona. I bet 1/2 the cost of the trip plus tickets. If they win, I will pay 1/2 the cost. If they lose, I pay 1/2 the cost. It limits the economic impact of a Clemson win, but almost ensures I will be paying either way.
If you KNOW you will go to Zona if the Tigs win, you might consider this "hedge".

Most of the hotels were either;
1 - completely booked,
2 - required a three night minimum, or
3 - were non-cancellable

insurance for relatively cheap that allows you to cancel for ANY reason.
Includes airfare, car, hotel . . . and they had a lot of hotel options.
I don't plan on cancelling . . .

I'm flying to and staying in Vegas, booked 2 weeks ago. $99 round trip flights and Mandalay Bay for $159 a night for the 1 bedroom suite. And the hotel room can be cancelled! 4 hour drive to Glendale.

openings when I booked there. They're even giving me a complimentary limo from the resort to the game and back.

after I drove back to my hotel from Sun Life. I even switched the flying date just now. That said, I don't stay in Scotdale, but Phoenix. Anyhow, I flew into Orlando instead of Miami for the Orange Bowl. So, no big deal.
