Why don't they paint the field for Swinney's camps?

I saw a pic someone took from today and was surprised that the field hadn't been painted up like it is during the season, seems like you would want it to look amazing when you are trying to show recruits the facilities..

Is it a budget thing, or just trying not to waste? I guarantee FSU, and SC have their fields painted right now.

They use the practice fields for the camps. Painting the game field for camps would be stupid.

Just seems like if you are walking recruits around the facilities showing off how nice your stuff is..... You would want to present it at its 100% best. A lot of these kids are only going To see Clemson this one time, they are going to get pictures with the Rock and in front of the field. I think you spare no expense when it comes to recruiting. I was surprised to see it hadn't been done since the spring game. Just an opinion.

I do not think it would be stupid at all to paint the field. We want to show our place at its best and painting the field would had been a nice touch. And the campers did spend time on the real field. The kicker we signed I think said he kicked in the stadium.

Now, if the paint possibly stunts the growth of the grass, then I understand not painting.

The field is not painted this time of the ear for agronomic reasons. If you cover the Bermuda grass with paint this time of the year you won't have much left by the beginning of football season.
