Who will be the new Vandy in the SEC?

2

I saw this am that saben is upset about the new sec scheduling. Bama will play Tenn, Auburn and LSU every year as fixed opponents. The strange thing about Nick being upset is the fact that bama has played these 3 teams every year for a decade.

Here the dirty secret about the sec. The teams only get to 6 or eight wins a year because of the 3 cupcakes they play. Plus the 1 semi non conference game.

Everyone is .500 in conference play. So the sec going to a 9 game in conference schedule is going to create 1 or 2 more vandys. Teams that ,for what every reason, have losing records for 10 years.

Many sec fans bases may have regrets about the new super conference.

USC. Wait, they are already worse than Vandy.

That's easy. The team in the midlands that hired a goofy buffoon as HC.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

Because of their standards, Vandy will always be Vandy in football.

Vandy looks to be an oddball in that conference. Money is great but their academics are on another level in comparison to the rest of the conference.

SC also looks to have not looked comfortable in the conference as far as football. One SEC East division title.

SC has definitely pulled their weight and then some in baseball and women’s basketball.

They choose not to spend a significant amount of their tv revenue on football, not on par with the rest of the conference-—

Over the last 130+ years I just don't see a hill-of-beans difference between the two programs.

Based on who the coaches are now and the trajectory of these teams.

Sec bottom dwellers (5 to 6 win years consistently) going forward: Vandy, Mizzou, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tamu, Florida, Miss St.

Mid Tier(7 to 9 wins with occasional 10 win years): Scar, Texas, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tenn, Auburn.

Elite Contenders: Alabama, UGA, LSU.

I would love to say the dirtpeckers but honestly

I believe it’ll be Missouri. I could see them only winning four or five games every year. 3 non conference games plus 1 or 2 in conference. I’m not sure Missouri can ever win more than 8 games from here on out.

I could also see

Kentucky going down a notch soon. Especially IF Mark Stoops ever takes another job.

I could see them only winning 4 or 5 games regularly.

*After Stoops leaves. For now they’re a scrappy bunch with excellent coaching. I always enjoy watching them play. I just know that potentially they could drop off or drop back to being a “bottom feeder”.

Personally, I don’t care who the next Vandy is. Can we start talking about the SEC on here?
