Who makes schools

Play regular season games at neutral sites. Schools them self or conferences. Are they paid to play at neutral sites. I don’t see the benefit for either school. Wouldn’t you rather see the Clemson uga game in Clemson or god for bid in athens. College towns only get a finite number of weeks to make some good money with fans coming into town but instead Atlanta will reap the reward. Maybe somebody knows more about these things than i do just never understood this concept.

As far as I know, it's up to each school's Athletic Department to figure out the out of conference schedules/opponents.

For the UGA game, we're guaranteed $5mil, and could be more depending on ticket sales/revenue.

I believe we make around $4mil on average per home game, so the payout is comparable (a home game against UGA would be more than that average)... but both schools receive that payout, rather than just the home team.

The biggest issue with it is the economic impact that it has on a small town like Clemson. Small business are missing out on the 100k+ fans that would travel to that game from out of town. Many of Clemson's restaurants and other small businesses make a large percentage of their annual income on those 7 home game weekends.

That is how we are being looked at so we should be able to handle the big stage of a neutral site. The truth is our money is not making us elite enough compared to who we are playing against. Thus our poor play was not something we needed to keep doing this year. Clemson has to wake up and try to dominate any team that plays us. Clemson players and coaches have to perform a heck of a lot better and treat it as if each loss puts the existence of Clemson in jeopardy.

The game against UGA is a kickoff classic game

as was the one in 2022. Georgia won’t agree to a home and home series because they are scared to play in Death Valley.
