That they were simple like running them in the back yard, but were perfect like not running them in the back yard?

Gardner's catch at Billy Brice in 1999.....
Oct 10, 2012, 6:56 PM
|
|
The bomb from Woody to Gardner down the left sideline over Freeman. The air went out of the stadium. The small Clemson section went berserk along with the rest of us scattered around the dead cockroach.

but I was sitting on the 50 yd line at Williams Brice in the middle of high dollar coots in my ORANGE from head to toe in 1999. The expression on the gamecock faces were priceless.

Well let's see........
Oct 10, 2012, 7:35 PM
|
|
1. Butler with "the Catch" in '77 at the WB warehouse. 2. my favorite Tiger of all time, Jeff Bryant, falling on the lateral against UNC, preserving the undefeated season. Probably the most heads up play in Clemson history. 3. Willie Underwood's two picks to crucify the Chickens in '80. 4. Gardner's catch...... 5. Ben Hall taking the one to the house in the 63-17 smoking that just left Chicken DB's running after him like children. 6. Antuan Edwards' INT return in '97 against the Chickens for a TD and Tony Horne's punt return TD in the same game.... 7. Gaines (RIP) to the house on the FG block against Wake. 8. and last but not least, Levon's hit on Major Harris from WVU that was more than a tackle...it was a statement to them that they didn't rate to be on the same field as our D. Chester's play in the endzone got the pub but Levon blew him up so hard one time that you could hear the stadium collectively wince.....

From what I can remember, Ford would call that play about every other game. Guaranteed touchdown.

The blistering hit delivered to a gamecock player on the

opening kickoff which popped the ball loose with Clemson recovering on their 5 yd line. Don't know the year but I think this may have been the game that ended 63-17. Not sure, I just remember screaming Holy ####### ####!!! The receiver looked like he had touched a high voltage wire. This is a vague memory, but a good one!

Anytime TA#21 or Joe the Jet or Kenny Flowers took the option pitch, they had the ability to take it to the house. The option looked so pretty when it was run to perfection. GO TIGERS!!!

One for a TD that shut Doak down and McFadden pulling tacklers with him and without his helmet at the end.
