Where is the outrage?

That if the alliance didn't become a thing or if it wasn't pushed so hard and kept the playoff at four teams that the playoff would have been expanded this year and none of this would be a topic.

And on top of that the Big 10 started poaching other Alliance members and killing the Pac.

Is this the alliance between the ACC, B1G and PAC…….OR

The Southeastern recruiting alliance.

Did the Southeastern Recruiting Alliance poach Pac teams and kill a league of its own members? Eating up leagues comprised of your allies sounds like a solid strategy.

The Alliance idea (to me) was a strange concoction,

speaking volumes about the lack of ingenuity and agressiveness among the three conferences in the wake of the expansions by the B1G and SEC.

The ACC's timidity goes back over many years under its leadership, who failed to see the handwriting on the wall. That was roundly and soundly evidenced with the schools added, as well as the cave in to Notre Dame. Had it launched preemptive attacks with nuclear weapons, we would probably see an entirely different ACC today. I wanted the conference to go all-out-guns for Penn State and Ohio State for starters, possibly Michigan and Michigan State, using those attacks as leverage to force ND's hand. I, also, believed the conference should have invited WVU along with Pitt, and pulled out all stops to keep Maryland aboard. Instead, the ACC took the easiest path, and we have what we have today.

Lastly, Clemson and FSU should have never agreed to that patently-ridiculous GOR, threatening the ACC with resignation. Stupid, stupid clause engineered by a gaggle of weak-minded paper shufflers to protect a group with nary an inch of spine nor an ounce of gall!

I woke up feeling strong today too, Harry.

I'm laughing too hard for outrage. If FSU trounces UGA by 10+ points I'll say the POC got it wrong and delight that this will never again happen to an undefeated conference champ.

I doubt they'll be overly concerned with the outcome—

The "alliance" was a joke from day 1. It was pulled together so a few of the flat-footed conference leaders could justify collecting their paychecks. Anyone with a modicum of critical thinking skills could see this. A joke, just like the CW network deal and Raycom before that. The ACC is a broken poorly-led conference headed towards MAC like status.
