It has not been stated, but Shipley will not play Saturday.

My answer is not based on any sort of knowledge except the fact I am equating his injury to someone getting into a car wreck in which somehow the back of their head and neck were the main impact areas.

The back of the neck is perhaps the most fragile exposed area in football.

Aside from the possible concussion, I am guessing he is still dealing with a great deal of neck soreness/stiffness.

I would be shocked if he has done any sort of physical activity this week outside of physical therapy with Clemson's trainers.

If Shipley does not play I would like to see Mafah used primarily but be spelled by Thomas and Jaynes as well in rounding out our running game - Thomas and Jaynes cannot be underestimated as they are great backs too!
