Its a great school and Minneapolis is a great city. The coach is cool. Maybe it was just a better fit for his life right now. He has a long way to go to be a starter at Clemson.

From what I can piece together…

He was committed to Minnesota then visited Clemson. Dabo wanted him as a project. He was buried on the depth chart with little hope of PT any time soon and did not want to RS.

Kid had really unrealistic expectations if he thought he was gonna get playing time this year.

This kid was nowhere close to avoiding a red shirt. Everyone knew this when he signed, we all knew it before spring practice, and we knew it after spring practice.

He needs to add some size and weight, so he was likely going to red shirt at Clemson, something that apparently didn't appeal to him.
