Deshaun Watson

First, I'm not trying to start anything. I would just like to hear the opinions on this board about Deshaun Watson. He committed to Clemson in Febuary but he just visited Auburn. Should Clemson pull his offer?

Ask an honest question and get met with pure hostility. Beautiful

It wasn't an honest question.
and its not hostility. just making an honest assessment of a dishonest chickentroll attemtpt at creating controversy where none exists.
If you don't like the response, you can always leave.
There are far too many chickentroll colostomy bags on Tigernet anyhow

If nothing has come of it, I am sure it is because the coaching staff was aware of it and talked to him about it. Or if they did not they have since had a discussion with him about it and straightened things out. I the cases we have seen so far it is not the first visit a player takes that gets him in trouble.

No, I am not worried about Watson. He is still very young. I'd love him to toss the pill at Clemson.

I think that the decision to pull scholarships and not recruit a prospect because he visited another school is a little out of touch with reality and a little overboard. I will probably get blasted for saying that. However, I think that if a prospect commits to Clemson, then he should remain committed. But we have to remember we are dealing with 17 yo kids that are extremely influenced quickly by programs. To me, Clemson is a one of a kind place where you can get a great education at a beautiful campus with a gameday atmosphere second to none. It sells itself and if someone wants to come to Clemson to play football, they will. It will all work out in the end and we will get people we can and should win with at a very high level.

It's my understanding that Watson visited with one of his coaches and a few of his teammates. It's not the same as McDonald, as he has taken visits after the coaches asked him not to. That and the fact that the asst. coach for his school is a complete imbecile led to his offer being rescinded. Not the same situation at all, of course that won't stop the idiocy of FGF from saying it is!

The point is Watson is not going to be a senior next year...

He is 16 years old and isnt going to be a senior next year. The fact he visited with a coach and another player who was considering AU is another reason why it isnt a big deal. He just went with his teammate to provide support for him during his visit.

From what I heard, it was something he was going with with a group of teammates that was scheduled before he committed and he was up front about it to the Clemson staff.
Different situation from the LB and Marlin Lane where they were not up front about what was going on.

and over-sign by about eight, and then run-off several players already on scholarship and text the less desirable recruits the night before signing day in order to make the necessary room for the players we really want to keep.
