"7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?"
If you start your search in God's Word, someday you'll see Him everywhere you look. Now that's not 'unto perfection,' but it's as close as man can ever get while he's imprisoned in this flesh.
13:
"15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost."
A tale with a humorous side. "And while that messenger was still speaking another messenger came and said, "You've lost all your sheep". And while that messenger was still speaking another messenger came and said ...". It would take a while before Vito Corleone said, "Good news can wait. Bad news I need to hear right now." Job was like, "Maybe, but all at once?"
Then - and this has happened to none of us - Job's wife blamed him for it. "You dolt."
Job was handling it okay, if a bit self righteously, until his friends showed up and began a philosophical argument unsurpassed in wordiness until tnet.
This goes on seemingly for days, until God says, "Ahem. I can hear you, you know." And that was the end of that.
