Well boys...some of you know my goal is to run up and down the steps

At Wren 50 times by July the 4th. Today, about 2 o'clock I was in number 30. I have hit 40 a couple of times so far... But anyway, about number 30 I thought about my friend Colonel JD Dickinson and the men he lost under his command in Afghanistan, and my friend Edgar Flemming, an EOD guy who disarmed untold numbers of IED's and the friends he must have lost, and my friend Steve who most of you know as Clover and all the trials and tribulations he went through in Viet Nam....and I just thought...what would they be willing to do of they could bring their buddies home.....so....I kept on going until I got my fifty...think8ng about all the sacrifices that have been made by men and women I don't even know so I could have the opportunity to scoot down to Wren and get in a little run.

I tip my hat to all of you and the soldiers you served with who were lost. America is in their debt.

P.S.

I went fishing on the Saluda River today in Pelzer..And one reason I went there today is because I thought it would be cool to fish right where my great great grandfather was captured by the Yankees almost 160 years ago. He never knew I would exist...but I do and I know what happened on that day.

Congrats on reaching your goal. That Saluda River flow has Lake Greenwood near the top of my sea wall- had a nice pontoon ride with the family on Saturday - released the bullfrog & baby turtle from my pool into the lake this morning
