What is the BIG's stance on this? Could be the deciding factor in where we go.

I doubt the BOT will make this the overriding criteria for which conference we ultimately go to.....

Then money should have nothing to do with it, according to you? I'm sorry--no disrespect intended here--but that's not realistic.

Anything is (in theory, anyway) negotiable.....don't disagree that is one tradition I'd hate to see go away. B1G has the same rule, if I'm not mistaken.

Miss st still has rules with it within the SEC. They can’t ring the bells once the ball is spotted. Been to Starkville and their fans respect the rule cause they don’t want to lose it.

We'd just have to agree to disagree and either pay the fine, or do what people do these days, and pay some lawyers to delay the issue as long as possible and maybe eventually one day argue the case in court.

If Miss st. can ring those annoying cowbells, then we can rush the field. That being said, one of these days there's going to be a fight or some sort of incident/ altercation that's going to make the university think twice. Kids just don't have any sense these days.

That’s the problem … we do not “Rush the Field”!

We “Meet at the Paw”!
Now of course there have been occasions where we’ve gotten to the “meeting” a little faster and more enthusiastically than others, but “Rushing the Field” is what fans from wannabe programs do when they get what they consider a big win.
“Rushing the Field” is not a tradition, it’s a spur of the moment (yep, I said spur) visceral reaction to something so desperately needed that decorum is abandoned in favor of pure emotion.
For instance when your team ends an 0-21 streak by beating New Mexico State.
We do not do that. We are consistent with our simple tradition and we do the same basic thing win or lose, every game, every time.

Since we would be getting so much more revenue playing in the SEC, we would just have to pay the fines and move on.

Well in reality the rushing of the field portion should be eliminated and it actually turn into a controlled “gathering at the paw”. The way it has gotten over the years it will probably come back to bite Clemson if any serious injuries are incurred

Not necessarily. As a poster said the cowbell was grandfathered in. They don’t stop those pornstar Vandy whistlers from making everybody want to punch them. They let Tennessee fans continue humping their brothers and sisters. And they let the UofSC continue to call themselves cawks. I’m sure all of those things violate conference rules.

MATP .... Meeting At The PAW Fund. A separate fundraiser to pay our stupid fines if the other conferences are soooooo against our family unity of traditions..... rather than not meeting at the PAW at all.

I would give that up in a heartbeat to leave the ACC. Pay the fine for it when it happens after a big victory.
