are driven by financial capital .
our top classes were achieved by signing national (west coast , world $$ capital ) recruits.
We have learned that not all US regions produce the same. a Top 10 Cali player is equivalent to good AL, FL recruits and a mid GA recruits
... i wouldn't let rank mean much. they are inflated by $$ and capital interests . As long as our recruits receive offers from Alabama and UGA , they are good. it's when they don't draw that attention, we need to raise alarm.

Hey Nike, I noticed something else over the past couple seasons that goes along these same lines. In seasons past, it seemed like every top recruit came down to Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State & Clemson. Take a look at 24/7, ESPN, Rivals rankings by team that has the players listed individually. Then look down to the scholarship offers they received before committing to Clemson. A very disturbing trend has developed where Clemson is now competing for talent at WR & RB with the likes of Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, App State, Army and Troy. What in the world happened?

It’s because we are missing on our top targets. I believe Riley will be able to attract better skill players because his offensive scheme will be so much better than what we’ve had.

The WR position is changing.
Pure Athlete are staying on defense
and Tight Ends are emerging as the lethal receiver
we have enough at WR.
Noble Johnson and Beaux Collins are deep ball threads
our TEs are now 15-20yard threats because of mobility
our QB is 0-10years threat on any down because of mobility
RBs are going to keep defenses nervous

Aren’t we all optimistic since the Riley hire? It feels like TNet was unanimous in their support for him. And we all seemed excited about how much the offense will be.

If the Tigers land another Renfrow we're golden. No disrespect to Antonio Williams but so far he's no Renfrow. I want him to be, and he has the potential but he isn't there yet. We can all hope he is reliable as our 11 year walk on was by the time he graduates.

I think you are correct, Nike. I began to notice about 5 years ago that the Top 20 recruits on most of the majors like 247, ESPN, Rivals, etc. had a growing number of players from California. I could never get a viable answer as to why this suddenly happened. Before the past few years, the top dudes were always from SEC Country. The answer probably has something to do with $$$$$ but I still have not figured it out. I just know all the 4 and 5 stars we have had from CA during this time have been duds. Hopefully, Dabo will have all electronic equipment, autos, planes, etc. owned by Clemson Athletic Recruiting Staff fixed to where they will not operate anywhere west of Texas. That is all.
