Way Too Early Top 25 from Yahoo Sports

Sam Cooper of Yahoo sports says of #13 Clemson:
"This feels like it could be an inflection point for Clemson. For most programs, going a combined 21-6 over the past two seasons would be an accomplishment. But for the standard Dabo Swinney’s program has set, it’s been a step back. The defense was solid, but nowhere near as stout as many expected. The offense was better than it was in 2021, but it was still mediocre at best. Cade Klubnik and Will Shipley have the talent to be a great QB-RB duo in the ACC, but it feels like the scheme as a whole could use a refresh. If that doesn’t happen, Clemson will likely carry on as one of the ACC’s best, but not one of the nation’s best."
Spoiled or not, it looks to be 10-2 from this point forward with a good bowl is going to be the standard. Go Tigers!

I don't disagree with that. Offense does need to be evaluated. Boring offense to watch and that might change with Cade but we will see.

I am not totally opposed to polls, but think any polls prior to the the first 3 or 4 games of the season being played are subjective. With that being said, however, I believe the writer has made a valid assessment of the team.

I am also hopeful that Dabo and our Tigers prove him wrong on his bottom line projection.

But enough of this; we’ve got a basketball team to watch!
