Watching it and seeing how he was never stopping, 3rd base coach very well could have been waving him around. If that ball is fielded cleanly, its a tough play to throw the runner out at first. Very well might have beat it, if he did then Beer scores. Unfortunately though it goes right to shortstop after the olay by 3rd baseman.

I agree but best to play it safe and he shouldn't have stopped if he was going to go. 2nd unlucky play of the inning
