Was Looking Thru NFL Rosters...Interesting No Clemson Player

Is playing O-Line. Every other position has a Clemson player in NFL. If you count TE as O-Line then we have an O-Lineman. Amazing how successful this team has been w/o NFL caliber linemen.

It's a thing and it's likely used against CU in recruiting.

Quick search showed I. Battle on practice squad in Seattle, Chris Hairston on IR w/ Chargers & Brandon Thomas on reserve/practice squad with Jags.
Not many though, no doubt.

We just haven't had many top-ranked OLmen come through recently.

A lot of tradition to it, I imagine, and Clemson has been...

known throughout time it seems for other areas more so than OL.
Even during Ford days, our OL wasn't exactly huge or NFL-ready or destined; there have been some good exceptions - Bostic was a HOG, even though smaller, but loved that guy.
A breakdown of all D1 teams & their Os might help some too. Just seems the Bamas, more pro-centric offenses or more smash-mouth spreads, Urban Meyer's for one, and/or larger programs have attracted those sure fire NFL[w/e the recruiting sites might call them] guys.
I hope that is turning, but it seems to have its own inertia.

That is likely to change over the next couple of years

Hyatt, Hearns, Crowder, Pollard and Anchrum all potentially have NFL futures. Then there is plenty of talent behind them that could add to it.

I wonder how many ol from SC there are. Can't bring more than 5 on actual rosters. State just does t produce that many olinemen.

We'll have a likely 1st round pick in this coming draft.
