If you weren’t lucky enough to be in love with Clemson?

Who would you cheer for if you weren’t a Clemson fan?
At some point every season I get into a funk because either the Tigers aren’t playing well or I get paranoid that my girl has eyes for one of the coaches or I’m upset because someone said you had to have gotten accepted to Clemson to be a real fan. It always gets me thinking about who I’d cheer for if Clemson wasn’t the school for me.
Sometimes I think I would pull for a perennial underdog like Mississippi State. The whole cowbell thing is cool and tickets would never be too expensive. I doubt I would ever cry when they lose a big game because I’d probably never expect them to win in the first place. I also went out with an almost really hot girl from Mississippi once. Whenever I see MS St play on TV, I think about her and how good her lotion smelled (Burt’s Bees Milk & Honey).
Other times I think I could be a fan of a good team with cool colors/uniforms. Fortunately, I look good in orange but not everyone does. I don’t think anyone can argue that Oregon fits this bill. Arizona State would be another option because buying Adidas stuff would be cheaper than paying top dollar for Nike.
If I’m in a bad place, I sometimes imagine being a fan of a team like Iowa or Cincinnati. Their all black uniforms look menacing. It’s sometimes cool to be the bad guy and I could picture myself dressing in all black and walking around a visiting tailgate looking angry and intimidating. I wouldn’t take it so far that I’d push old people and yell bad words at children, but you get my drift.
Who’d I miss?

My brother is a coot, and it's always fun to be a thorn in his side, so I'd probably cheer for a team they have trouble beating. App State or maybe the Citadel.

One of the academies. Have to choose between USAF and Navy, since I served in both.

Is it true that Marines are tougher than people in the Navy?

I can’t tell you, for sure. I don’t think the debate of “Does the Navy exist only as a taxi service for Marines; or are the Marines primary mission just to protect the sailors on ships?”

Marines are real bada$$es but even they walk softly around the Navy Sea Air and Land teams.

I love ‘em all like brothers, my friend. But that doesn’t mean we’re not gonna cut up with each other. It’s what all families do.

I don't root for particular schools other than Clemson. What

I DO root for is a particular style of game, which is a Big 12 type offensive shootout by both teams that are playing. A stalwart defensive game may be great when it is your team keeping the opposition stymied, but watching a total defensive battle is like watching paint dry. That's probably one reason I will never get into soccer as a fan. Just too much running around for WAAAY too little reward.

Whatever college I went to but with Clemson being my one and only choice I have no idea who that would have been.

I was wondering how that nasty rash you were showing me and FM was doing. Still there, eh. Or are you saying the dry heat MyFO suggested actually worked?

Same can be said for University of Buffalo but their football team is too bad to cheer for.
