UGA staffer files lawsuit...

1

Jul 14, 2023, 7:47 AM

So, the UGA staffer who was a passenger in the SUV which crashed and killed a player and another staffer has now filed her lawsuit against UGA athletic association, Jalen Carter and estate of the deceased driver.

Now, this one has some potential to get interesting, i.e. she was an active recruiting staffer and probably has quite of bit of information as to what's been going on in Athens under Kirby and, given the optics, a lot of it is probably a bit tawdry and unclean.

Get your popcorn.

As Perry Mason would say, any questions on anything related to Kirby Smart would be incompetent and immaterial.

Quick settlement and NDA to keep her quiet

incident as stupid as that one, the settlement would have to be in the milluuns, plural, after taxes, to even begin to think about me shutting up.

Oh make no mistake...

they'll definitely be buying her silence in addition to compensating her for her damages.

Just another day at the office for uga. Nobody does graft and corruption any better than they.

She was there and presumably had been there through all the illegal things UGa does.

So she's most likely not going to look great once they start slinging mud at each other.

This is a money grab and UGa will pay her off.

They are just going to argue over the amount.

Kirby is busy calling the White House Secret Service to confirm that nothing can be found.

Well, he could probably get a great idea of how to hide and delay, etc. from the Biden White House staff.

Did she know, getting in the car that night, that a street race would happen?

I'm guessing not.

With that said, I hope it's a TON of money.

Upon entering the SUV I'm guessing she was aware that all parties were intoxicated including the drivers of said vehicles.

Still didn't know that she was getting into a vehicle where street racing would happen, and would thus lead to 2 people dying.

And, like said above, UGA WILL PAY OTA to shut it up FAST

I'll ask you the same question...

Jul 14, 2023, 9:28 AM [ in reply to Re: UGA staffer files lawsuit... ]

Under the circumstances, wouldn't you agree that she is entitled to compensation for her damages? "Want" doesn't really have anything to do with it. While there may be an element of "assumption of the risk", the fact that she's having to file a law suit several months after the incident suggests that UGa and the various insurance carriers are either jerking her around or under valuing her claim.

Which is why...

UGa will likely bend over backwards to effectuate an amicable negotiated settlement so the case never sees the inside of a courtroom and the tawdry details stay our the media as much as possible.

She will go after those with deep pockets and there will be a settlement. There always is. Sorry to disappoint you but you're not going to get any tawdry scoop. She wants money and they will give her some.

You can put away that popcorn.

Well I'm certain McClendon is being hounded by attorneys. Will he eventually seek a piece of the pie considering the recent developements? I would not be shocked in the least.

I would think so but I would also think UGA would have taken those steps before she had to file a lawsuit to force them to do so. Very curious and I think Kirby and his crew are playing with fire with this one especially with the sexual misconduct undertones. The press loves a good scandal and its usually the coverup that ultimately brings down the King.

Bad behavior there is not a new thing at all. Really strange that more hasn't made the papers sooner and more often.

I would say a meeting of about 15 attorneys will be scheduled at around the 6-month mark to hammer out a blanket settlement for all of these suits. Somewhere like Jekyll Island.

Is Mother Nature liable now for having a tree grow in the wrong place?
