I agree with it being a sad situation. However, there is an apparent issue there with program and lack of control. If not addressed, will it become an even more tragic situation?

The biggest difference between Northwestern firing Pat Fitzgerald and Kirby's chances of dismissal is that Northwestern has legitimate concern with protecting their image while UGA knows they are trash and that this is the type of behavior that the entire nation expects to come out of that program perennially. Firing Kirby will do nothing to alter their image, and they will continue to win at all costs.

I have heard from people within the athletic department that Kirby is out. He simply cannot withstand what has happened and with the continued traffic issues. Something every week and now the lawsuits and more negative press and investigations.
He should have gotten control of this early, but he was arrogant and thought himself untouchable. Things have changed.
Several of the big donor influencers have spoken behind the scenes and Kirby is truly in trouble. He has an arrogance about him and an attitude that has worn out all the goodwill he has accumulated on the field. This will break by August and expect an UPROAR by the Georgia fans as they are clueless about what has really been going on.
Everything was in place for UGA to have a 20 plus year run, but absolute arrogance, criminality, and sheer stupidity has ruined it.

You are obviously joshing, but the question remains, if it had been any coach except Smart and his record was barely commendable in wins and losses, would they still be there after all of these incidents? I bet they would be gone!

I know this has been covered, but this will really pull off the blinders and they will go for the jugular to make things come to light. If Pat Fitzgerald can be held accountable for things that he supposedly didn't know about, what about Kirby?
What about Kirby? Should Dabo be held accountable everytime one of his players beats his girlfriend or drives too fast? Did authorities arrest Dabo when his brother was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor? LOL! of course not. These young people made some bad decisions that night. Outside of the fact that a vehicle rented by the University was involved how in anyway can Kirby be determined to be at fault?

Sorry I don't get on here much anymore and just saw your question. I think I was meaning the many different things that are going on right now at Georgia, but this one was the most unfortunate and tragic one. Multiple arrests, not just this one.
Side question about this incident. Was there recruits at the strip club that night? There has been rumblings about this and that this was a big event for the team. Any truth to those rumors?
